All About Love: New Visions by bell hooks

I recently picked up a book by bell hooks, as I've been wanting to read something by her for a while. I've been interested in reading more feminist literature lately, especially literature related to love. I've been contemplating things in my own romantic relationship, and so far this book has been very enlightening about this and other aspects of love. I'm intrigued by the definition of love as an act of will, making it a choice and not necessarily an inate feeling. It's comforting, really. I also like how she points out love should be seen as a verb more than a noun. As an person who loves grammar, that annalogy stuck closely with me.

As I continue to read this work, I hope to write more about the things I find interesting about it and my own thoughts about the topic.
