Sonic the Hedgehog!!!!!
Way Past Cool
I have loved Sonic ever since I was a kid, and I still love him to pieces!
My love of Sonic started out when I watched Sonic X on the Saturday cartoons on 4Kidz. I eventually looked up all the episodes and watched them online, over 100 episodes of it! Now, it's not really my favorite sonic show (Chris sucks tbh), but I still love it for getting me into sonic in the first place.
I also remember going to the library for a comic book day and getting a sonic comic! I loved reading it, and I loved the classic characters like Sally Acorn and Bunnie. I especially loved how intense the plot was, and I loved the conflict between the freedom fighters and robotnik. It really influenced my own childhood storytelling and even my storytelling now. Eventually, I watched the series Sonic the Hedgehog, and I think this is still one of my top favorites. It has strong conflicts and interesting class dynamics to consider, as well as an exploration of the consequences of rebellion under a fascist regime (that overthrew a monarchy).
I also really got into Sonic Underground for similar reasons, and as a kid I loved it even more for the music. I memorized and replayed those songs for hours as a kid. However, Even then I knew the art style wasn't the best, but I did like being able to compare Sonic's personality to that of two others, especially where he became a sort of middle ground with so many personality traits. It really made him seem like an older caring brother.
Right now I want to expand this shrine, but in the future I plan to make other shrines for other Sonic characters I love (cough Silver cough)
